588 Advanced Rider Training

About 588 ADVANCED RIDER TRAINING
It all started with a Honda CB100N which was ‘T’ registered (1979)
I only bought it as a stop gap until I could afford a car to customise – well it was the 70’s!
I got a taste for two wheels, and, having passed my test I bought my first 250 Super Dream and joined the police around the same time. After my first pay packet I upgraded to a Suzuki GS 550 E, my first 'big bike'.
Why 588 Advanced? It was my collar number in the service!
My career took me into several different roles and promotion culminating as a traffic sergeant on both cars and my lifelong love, motorcycles.
I was lead for the BikeSafe initiative, obtaining a diploma in Advance Motorcycle Instruction, leading to a role as examiner for both RoSPA & IAM RoadSmart
I have been heavily involved with RoSPA and IAM RoadSmart groups helping train the trainers and support with talks and advice.

What 588 Advanced Rider Training aims to develop is a confident rider fully in control of their bike so you get more out of every ride - and be safer, too.
As with all rider coaching 588 Advanced Rider Training will share skills picked up over nearly 5 decades of riding - as police, as an instructor, as an examiner, as a trans-continental tourer - to develop smooth, safe riding, Take Your Riding Further as you enjoy every mile with your new skills.
Advanced training is based on Roadcraft, the System of Motorcycle Control. This is the manual used to train police and other emergency service riders. 588 Advanced Rider Training is able to impart this knowledge, to help you build confidence and improve your machine control. It is actually great fun and get's rid of the "OMG" moments by instilling a system that gives you the flexibility to have fun, be safe, learn or refine your skills, gain confidence and not scare yourself on a ride
